A Short and Simple Narrative Story

KINDNESS IS NOT ONE-SIDED

Once upon a time lived a young man in a small coastal city called Mako. He was a kind person who liked to help the people in his city.

Mako never hesitated to help others whenever possible. He would often spend his time and effort helping others with whatever problems plaguing their days, be it helping his neighbors move their stuff around, donating his money to people in need, or simply helping an elderly person cross the street. Mako always puts others first, even when he was the one in need. He always makes sure everyone else is comfortable and has their needs taken care of before taking care of himself. Mako became known as the guy that would help you, no matter what you're stuck with, he would do his best to assist you. People always told him to take care of himself first, but he doesn't listen. Other people was always his priority. One day, Mako began to feel sick. His joints started to ache and his head felt like it was bursting with pain. His nose was runny and his vision was a bit blurry. As he was helping someone, he collapsed and blacked out. He awoke in a soft bed, with some people on front of him holding a conversation in a hushed tone. They noticed that he had awoken and came over to say hi.

The people that he had helped in the past had come to his aid. They brought him medicine, food and simply, company. Mako was very grateful to be surrounded by such kind people like himself. Eventually Mako got better and he continues to live happily helping others, though this time he made sure to be kind to himself as well.
